Chuck-E cheese and the Zoo

On Monday Richard and I took Walker on a little day trip to Montgomery. We took Walker to Chuck-E Cheese with Boo for lunch then we went with Boo, Papa, Lyndsey, Margaret Ann and Claire to the Zoo to see all of the Christmas lights. Walker did so great and had a ball!

Sweet boy loved the car at ChuckE Cheese

But his favorite was the "Dance, Dance Revolution" and let me tell this boy was breaking it down to BINGO!

Walker even got to ride a horse!
At first, Walker was not to sure about all of the characters, but he eventually warmed up to them!

Christmas Party and SANTA!

On Thursday Walker had his "school" Christmas party. Those kiddos were so cute! It was so nice to see Walker happy and playing with his new friends. I was really nervous about starting Walker in a "preschool" so early, but I know now that it was a good decision! When we take him to his room for school, he no longer cries (BIGGGG improvement) and is excited and ready to play! He is also learning a lot. Over the past couple of weeks Richard and I noticed that everytime Walker hears the song "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" Walker would start dancing and doing the same movements with his hands. Since it is not a Bible song, we assumed he learned it from his school and sure enough when we asked his teacher about it they have been singing and dancing to that song! Anyways, his party was fun. Here are a few pictures:

Walker taking his cookie and actually sitting in his seat!

And now Walker is up and going...less than 2 minutes later! Mrs. Linda told us that day that they have a hard time getting Walker to stay in his seat...and yes, this was AFTER she said that all of the other children are doing so great as far as sitting in their chair is concerned......hmmmm...wonder where he gets that from?!? Can we say like mother like son?!? Good thing he is only 15 months old!

Baby boy reading his Christmas present from Mrs. Linda, an animal book! :)

Yesterday, we took Walker to see Santa! We were a little nervous because his mood has been very up and down because of his ear infection and due to the fact that he has been having some major separation anxiety issues...well this little stinker knows when to turn it on! HE LOVED SANTA!! He kept saying "TA" "TA" "TA" and went straight to him and when I picked him up off of his lap he started reaching for him again! What a little stinker! So cute!! :)

Christmas Time and 15 months!!!

IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME!!! We have had SO much fun over the past couple of weeks as we have started to celebrate the holiday season! Last weekend, we took Walker to "A Christmas in a Railroad Town" in downtown Opelika. It was so much fun and Walker LOVED it! We didn't make it to see Santa while we were there, but we did get to see lots of other fun things!

Walker LOVING the fire truck!
Walker saw his friend Cooper!
Walker absolutely LOVED these carolers! He was dancing and laughing! It was so funny to watch!
Me and my baby!

Richard and Walker witha goofy grin (to match is goofy personality!). Notice the chocolate on Walker's face....yes he is his mother's child!

We saw horses and Walker was NOT happy that he could not play with them!

And we saw Aubie-clause!!

Take 1: Not so much a fan

Take 2...about 5 minutes later after Aubie started dancing for Walker....
Take 3...
The next night, Richard and I hosted a Chili and Cookie christmas party. We had almost 30 people over from our church. It was a blast! Most people either brought chili or cookies. We had 7 different types of chili and 10 different kinds of cookies. I had my camera out but totally forgot to take pictures once everyone came over....I did remember to take a couple before hand...

Our Cookie Table! :)

Walker is now 15 months! We went for his check up on Wednesday and he is one healthy boy and is growing so well! He weighed 24.5ish pounds (he was NOT a fan of the scale and was pitching a royal fit...and NOT wanting to this was as close as they could get) and was 33.5inches long. He was in the 75% for length and 50% for weight. Yep. Long and skinny just like his daddy! He is developing well and above average on his verbal development (what? someone with Wheatley genes likes to talk? Go figure.) AND according to our pediatrician early verbal development is the only early indicator for intelligence! YAY baby boy got his brains from his daddy! Smart boy!

Here are some things about W at 15 months:

-Walker is down to 1 nap a day and has been since he turned 12 months old. He usually naps about 2 1/2-4 hours
- Baby has 9 teeth and according to his doctor he is in the process of cutting his molars.
- Walker is a BIG eater! He is not really picky and will eat just about anything we give him (including my vegetarian stuff)
- He is actually able to communicate most things that he wants "Bite" (he wants to eat) "Wawa" (he is thirsty) "Ni-ni" (he is ready for bed) "side" (wants to go outside) "Dee" (wants to watch a movie) "BAAAHH" (he WANTS to take a bath). He also can follow some directions "Let's go night night" - He will go to his room "Let's go upstairs"- He will go to the stairs "Let's take a bath" - he will go into the bathroom, "where's your..." and MOST of the time he will go find whatever it is
-Baby boy has learned almost all of the animal sounds and animals. He can point to most of them in a book.
-Our baby is a little parrot and will try to repeat any word you say.
-He wears size 5 diapers and 18-24 month clothes.
- He LOVES his "night-night" (his blanket) and will carry it around the house with him
- He sleeps with a paci and will only want one when he is awake when he is super tired
- This boy loves, loves, LOVES music and dancing as well as animals (esp our dog, Gatsy!)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Thanksgiving with my family in Montgomery. It was so much fun! Now that Walker is a little bit older he was really able to play with his cousins Claire and MA. It was so much fun to see how close these 3 are getting!

Papa reading to MA, Walker and Claire.

The cousins

Margaret Ann and Walker are only about a year and a half apart. I really think they are going to be great buddies!
Sweet Baby Boy!

Daddy and Walker. Walker was just sitting on the wall beside Richard. I should have taken this as a hint that he was getting sick! :)

My sister made this for the kids at Thanksgiving lunch! How precious is it??
The food!
On Friday afternoon, my family celebrated Richard's birthday (which was really yesterday). Claire choose the candles for the cake AND helped Richard blow out the candles. I have never seen anyone love parties as much as this girl!

Family pic....look at baby Walker...he looks like he does not feel well at all! This was Friday afternoon and he was already running a fever. After we got back into town we took him to the doctor on Saturday morning and found out that not only did he have his first ear infection he also had hand, foot, and mouth disease! Poor buddy!
In other news, on Thanksgiving day Lucy and I officially entered our THIRD TRIMESTER!!! WOOHOO! Time is flying by!!
